In
your imagination, when you’ve traveled
to Africa, did you picture yourself in a posh
hotel suite with room service? Or rather, did
you see yourself waking up to the sound of birds
with a coffee or tea tray delivered to your
tent flap? Haven’t you seen yourself in
Robert Redford’s shoes or Meryl Streep’s
as they sat at the campfire in “Out of
Africa” beside their tent?
At
Kifaru, we believe in spoiling our guests (as
well as our dogs, but that’s another matter
entirely). Our permanent tent camp is safe and
serviced to cater to your every need and desire.
Laundry is done daily. Each en-suite tent has
the amenities of that posh hotel suite but features
the morning sun dappling the canvas. Livingstone
didn’t have it this good. Insect-proof,
each beautifully furnished, elevated tent features
a spacious queen-sized bed, classic colonial styling
and all the comforts of home. Your feet will revel
in the warmth of African rugs on immaculate flooring.
In your tiled bathroom, you have a choice of hot
or cold water in the sink, shower and even the
claw-foot bathtub. Here, you’ll be pampered
in quiet seclusion.
Delicious
meals, prepared by our chef are served in the
dining area of the lodge overlooking the reservoir
nearby where animals come to drink. Close by is
a library and also a separate TV lounge in case
that special game is being televised that you
just can’t miss. (top)
